A mysterious Indian woman is appearing in the form of a wind devil of swirling dust in order to stop the OSI's seismic survey of the California desert. Jaime and Oscar investigate the strange disruptions, and learn that a major earthquake is predicted for the desert valley. Jaime follows the wind devil after one of it's attacks, and comes face to face with the Indian woman. The bruja tells Jaime that she has been protecting a vast underground lake, and that its discovery is threatened. She shows Jaime a vision of an idyllic future, and tells her that the water must remain hidden until that time. She asks Jaime to help seal off a cave to block the water, but time is running out before the earthquake strikes. |
