Trivia

BIONIC SHOWDOWN was produced for NBC as a pilot for a weekly series. The series would have Oscar Goldman still in charge of the OSI, but the focus would shift to Kate Mason and Jim Goldman--with appearances by Steve Austin and Jaime Sommers. However, the series was not ordered by NBC for the 1989-90 fall television season.

A shortened version of this film was rerun on NBC on September 17, 1989. The film was re-edited to make time for a Presidential message on the United Way.
