The Bionic Woman: Season 2 DVD

Following the successful release of the long-awaited Season One DVD set, Universal Studios Home Entertainment has officially released Season Two of the 1970s classic, THE BIONIC WOMAN. Building on the stories and momentum of the first season, Season Two delivers all of the adventure and heart that had viewers falling in love with Jaime Sommers. Season Two is also packed full of fan favorites -- from Bigfoot and Fembots to Sister Jaime and Lisa Galloway (for which Lindsay Wagner won the primetime Emmy® Award). This is one season not to be missed!

The packaging for this set follows the same template established with the Season One release, and Universal did a great job utilizing photos exclusively from this season on the cover art. The discs static menus also utilize the same artwork as the outer packaging.

Along with the season's original 22 episodes, 2 crossover episodes of THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN are also included! It's great to have the complete crossover stories of "The Return of Bigfoot" and "Kill Oscar" all together on one set! All of the episodes have been remastered, making them look better than ever!

The highlights on this set (especially for hardcore fans) come from the incredible bonus features! Disc One includes the newly produced featurette, BIONIC BLAST. This cool featurette takes a look at the three women who appeared as Jaime Sommers, the Bionic toy merchandising craze, and the one and only Fembots! With a running time of over 11 minutes, this short includes appearances by Kenneth Johnson, Inge Rosenberg, Alan J. Levi, Rita Egleston, Lindsay Wagner, James D. Parriott, Vince Deadrick Jr., Richard Anderson, Robbie Rist, Martin E. Brooks, and Janice Whitby.

It should be noted that due to clearance issues, Universal was unable to include the Gag Reel that was listed as a bonus feature in their initial press release. With any luck, maybe this will appear on the Season Three release.

Other exciting bonus features include four episode commentaries -- two from series star Lindsay Wagner and two from series creator/writer/producer/director Kenneth Johnson! Lindsay Wagner can be heard on "Road To Nashville" and "Biofeedback". It's great to hear the series star talk about the episodes, her personal memories, and what she hoped to achieve. However, Lindsay's commentaries may have benefited from pairing her up with someone else in order to keep the conversation flowing. Kenneth Johnson gives the answers to everything that you've ever wanted to know about the classic two-part adventure, "Doomsday Is Tomorrow".

Rounding out the set's bonus features is the Photo Gallery. The gallery features 24 publicity and behind the scenes photos from "The Return of Bigfoot" Part II, "In This Corner, Jaime Sommers", "Road To Nashville", "Kill Oscar", "Black Magic", and "The Night Demon".
